Description
ACU First Aid for Motorcyclists Level 3 (VTQ)
Motorcycle riders face heightened risks on the road and are often the first people at the scene of a bike accident. However, assisting at these incidents can present additional dangers, including the risk from passing traffic and unsafe environments.
This specialised training course teaches essential first aid and basic life support skills specifically tailored to motorcycle-related incidents. The course also focuses heavily on scene safety, casualty management and dealing with injuries commonly associated with motorcycling accidents.
This comprehensive one-day course can be delivered locally or directly at your motorcycle club or venue, making it a flexible and practical training option for riders and groups alike.
The course has been endorsed by the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU) for the ProTrainings ACU First Aid for Motorcyclists Level 3 (VTQ) qualification, helping provide training specifically designed around the challenges faced by motorcyclists on and off the road.

Qualification Information
This course is delivered as a VTQ – Vocational Training Qualification. A VTQ is a practical, skills-based qualification designed to develop knowledge, confidence and competence within a specific subject area.
This is not an RQF qualification. An RQF qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework and is usually awarded by an Ofqual-recognised awarding organisation.
In simple terms, a VTQ is focused on practical learning and vocational skills, while an RQF qualification may be required where an employer, workplace or regulator specifically requests an Ofqual-regulated qualification.
If you are unsure which type of qualification you require, please contact us before booking and we will be happy to advise.
Guidelines and Standards
All of our first aid courses are delivered in line with the latest UK and European Resuscitation Council guidelines and are designed to meet current Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommendations where applicable.
