Description
The purpose of the qualification is for the learner to attain knowledge and practical competences required to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations.
What the course covers
- Roles and responsibilities of the Paediatric First Aider
- Assessing an incident
- Recognising signs and symptoms of injury
- Responding to a child or infant who is unresponsive
- Choking, breathing difficulties and shock
Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements. Learners should have a minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
Course duration
GLH for this qualification is 6 hours.
